Regal Ticket Prices
The chain of Regal Cinemas is a sister brand of two other well-known chains, the United Artists Theaters and the Edwards Theaters. These three chains was previously owned and operated by Regal Entertainment Group (REG), an American company with headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee. But there’s a new owner, as we will discuss later.
Together with its sister brands, the Regal Cinemas chain is the second-large movie theater circuit in the United States, second only to the AMC Theaters brand. Today, there are more than 560 theaters with more than 7,300 screens in total. The sister brands usually have their original external branding, such as signage and logo, intact but the indoor branding like policy trailers have been changed to reflect the REG ownership. Of course, Regal Cinemas theaters have all the branding of its parent company.
Below are the estimated Regal ticket prices.

History
In 1989, Regal Cinemas was established in Knoxville, Tennessee where its headquarters are still located. Mike Campbell, its first chief executive officer, undertook an aggressive expansion program with a focus on suburban areas. Many of these theaters featured high-end cafes and décor than their competitors at the time.
But the aggressive expansion took its toll so that by 2001, the chain declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The chain was later merged with two chains, the United Artists and Edwards Theaters with the Regal name being retained as the revitalized company’s namesake.
On December 2017, Cineworld announced its plans to acquire REG. By February 2018, the acquisition was completed resulting in Cineworld and its affiliated theater chains becoming the world’s second-largest cinema exhibitor.
Food, Flicks and Facilities
Every Regal theater adopts the Regal Roller Coaster policy trailer. This was re-introduced in 2015 with the current version animated by the famous The Tombras Group.
Keep in mind that Regal Cinemas strictly implements its age policy for ticket purchase and theater admission. Children 3 years old and younger can watch movies free of charge except in theaters with recliner seating and reserved seating; the prices for children’s ticket applies in the latter. Children’s ticket prices apply to children 3 to 11 years old while adult ticket prices apply to children 12 years old and up as well as adults; valid identification may be required for confirmation purposes.
Children under 6 years of age are also not allowed into R-rated movies and the like. Adults 60 years old and up are entitled to discounts on their movie tickets (i.e., senior citizens’ ticket). Age restrictions will also apply on entry to the auditorium in relation to the time, such as no children allowed into the auditorium after 6 p.m. without an adult.
Online booking is available for people who want to skip the long lines and choose their seats in advance. A small fee is charged for online ticket purchases, a common practice in the industry. During the online ticket purchase, the guests can choose their preferred seats, a convenient feature when coming to the theater with a larger group.
Tip: Download the Regal Mobile app for online bookings and for updates about the latest movies, among other information. The official Regal website is also the best place to get them although it’s much less convenient (i.e., desktop log in).
If you booked tickets in advance, you can show the ticket attendant your ticket confirmation page for scanning of the QR code on it. You will then be shown to the auditorium and escorted to your reserved seats, if necessary, by the theater staff. You may be asked to provide the phone number, confirmation number, or ticket identification in case there’s an issue with the QR code.
Buying your food and drinks online along with your movie tickets is also possible. You should also show your QR code to the concession counter attendant to pick up your orders; look for the Atom logo on the counter.
Refunds of tickets can be made subject to terms and conditions. For example, you can only request for it 60 minutes before the show time for whichever movie you previously selected. Guests are advised to call the hotline or call the ticketing agency that issued them the tickets.
Regal Gift Cards can also be used in purchasing tickets. Just open your Regal Crown Club account, choose your preferred movie and its show time, and buy the ticket using the number and PIN on the gift card. Best of all, the gift cards don’t come with dormancy fees and expiration dates, aside from the fact that tickets purchased using them can also be refunded.
The Regal Cinemas locations provide several facilities for people with handicaps, such as people in wheelchairs or people with sight or hearing impairments. These include ramps for wheelchairs, as well as hearing assistive devices and closed captioning devices. The staff members will go out of their way to ensure that these devices are functioning properly.
Regal Cinemas also offer its facilities for group events, such as birthday parties and corporate gatherings. Be sure to contact the management first since the venues may not be available for any reason, such as an already full house on your selected date.
For couples, we suggest the Ultimate Movie Pack. This includes two tickets and a $10 gift card for the concessions, as well as a personalized gift message.
