Reel Cinema Prices
There’s no mistaking that Reel Cinema is a chain of movie theatres, thanks to its name. The chain also reels in its customers with a wide selection of movies both mainstream and alternative, as well as with world-class facilities, efficient services, and reasonable prices on tickets, food and drinks.
Reel Cinema is a relatively new chain in comparison with the likes of Empire Cinema and Odeon Cinema, for example, but its newness works to its advantage. There’s a strong environment of innovation so it isn’t surprising that its theatres feature the latest in audio-visual technology.

History
Reel Cinemas Ltd., the current owner and operator of the chain, started as Curzon Leisure Group. The first theatre, the Curzon Cinema, opened in Loughborough in 2001.
Currently, the chain has 15 theatres with multiple screens. A few of these are in Borehamwood, Chippenham, Bridgorth, Fareham, Grantham, Burnley, Ilkeston, and Kidderminster.
Real Things About the Chain
Reel Cinemas has three ticketing methods available for customers, namely: the traditional way via the ticketing box offices in each theatre; through the telephone booking system; and through the official Reel Cinemas website (i.e., online). The online and telephone booking systems are open 24/7 and connected directly to the box office so there’s no risk of buying tickets only to be told that there’s a full house on your desired show time.
Take note, furthermore, that a £0.60 booking fee will be charged for online and telephone booking transactions. The fee, nonetheless, is worth it since customers can skip the long lines and choose their preferred seats, among other conveniences. The tickets may be secured at your selected cinema before your chosen show time and presented to the ticket attendant.
Note: Reel Cinemas doesn’t allow ticket refunds in case of failure to come for the selected movie’s show time. The refunds and returns policy is strictly enforced regardless of the circumstances.
Changes to booking are allowed. Go to the box office where your tickets have been originally booked and make the change but be sure to do so at least two hours before the show time. Changes aren’t allowed when the movie originally booked has started.
Families who want to avail of discounts can book a Family ticket, a type of ticket package that combines 3-4 tickets. The package should contain an adult ticket and two adult tickets (i.e., kids under 12 years old), and an optional fourth ticket.
Children and adults are obviously welcome into the auditoriums but age restrictions in relation to the movie’s rating apply. For example, children under 13 years old aren’t allowed into the theatre for R-rated movies because of the sensitive scenes. Parents can bring their babies into the theatre but with conditions, such as only during the morning and/or afternoon show times and during PG or U movie screenings. Parents and legal guardians may also be asked for proof of age for their children or wards.
Toddlers under two years old are admitted free to the theatres. But parents should note that toddlers aren’t allowed to have a seat by themselves.
Each Reel Cinema location may have its pricing scheme although, in general, the ticket prices are reasonable. The type of movie and seating are among the factors that influence ticket prices. The chain also offers discounts ranging from 15% to 25% for certain cohorts including children, students and seniors, as well as promotions on certain days.
The proof of the pudding in movie theatres is in the quality of the audio-visual system and Reel Cinemas has among the best in the industry. Indeed, it’s a chain known for its innovative approaches to theater facilities, as can be seen in its Reel 3D with Dolby Digital 3D and Dolby Digital 7.1 Sound technologies. The result: Lifelike experiences at the movies so there’s a strong sense of being in the scene with characters, especially in 3D movies.
Many of the theatres also have the Dolby Atmos sound system. This is technology that provides a more dramatic experience at the movies with its overhead speakers for heightened realism.
Movie schedules are updated weekly. Keep in mind that that there may be differences in the show times of movies as shown on newspaper and Internet listings in comparison with actual show times in the theatres. This is because theatres may be required to submit movie schedules three days in advance but changes may happen; check the official website and box office postings for more updated information.
Reel Cinema strictly enforces in-theatre rules and regulations and it reserves the right to refuse entry for moviegoers who violate them. Food and drinks bought outside aren’t permitted into the auditorium; the crew can perform random checks of bags at the auditorium entrance for this purpose. Smoking is prohibited, too, as is the case for recording devices inside the cinema.
Movie ratings and their age restrictions are also strictly enforced. Proof of age may be required from customers.
